Natalia Kaniasty
Originally from a rural college town in Western Pennsylvania, filmmaker Natalia Kaniasty has lived and worked in multiple corners of the United States. As a first-generation American, her creative work explores the spaces between cultures, identities, and ideas of home. She holds an MFA in filmmaking from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, and her short films have screened and earned awards in the United States and internationally. She has worked in independent and studio filmmaking in New York and Los Angeles, including with filmmakers Todd Solondz and Gary Ross. Natalia is currently an Assistant Professor of Film, Television and Video Production at Webster University in St. Louis.
